Welcome to The Myrtle at Wintergreen – a spacious, thoughtfully designed retreat where luxury meets laid-back mountain living. Nestled on the edge of the Stoney Creek golf course and just minutes from Nelson 151’s award-winning wineries and breweries, Afton’s scenic hiking trails, and Wintergreen’s skiing and tubing, The Myrtle is perfectly situated for year-round adventure. Whether you're planning a multigenerational family trip, a friends' weekend, or a remote-work escape, this home offers the ideal blend of space, comfort, and amenities: unwind in the hot tub, have fun in the game room, or relax by the gas firepit. With a flexible layout (2 Kings, 1 Queen, 2 Doubles), screened porch, EV charger, fully equipped kitchen, and access to a summer pool, it’s built for memory-making. Just 22 minutes to Rockfish Gap (entrance to Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway) and 35 minutes to Charlottesville and UVA.

  • Whether you’re turning in early after a day of wine tasting or letting the kids stay up late with movies, every room is designed for restful nights and flexible mornings:

    • Primary King Suite on the main floor with two desks and walk-in closet

    • Second King Bedroom on the main floor with work desk, dresser and closet

    • Queen Bedroom on the main floor with dresser and closet

    • Expansive 4th Bedroom on the upper floor with two Full-size beds, double desk and smart TV.

    • Two full baths (including one en-suite to Primary King Bedroom), plus an additional half bath.

    • The house can sleep 10 guests plus an infant.

  • Two security cameras are installed at the front of the property facing away from the house. We have a single NoiseAware sensor in the dining room - NoiseAware is a smart home technology that is 100% privacy compliant - it does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels) and would only really alert us if there was party-level noise (our house rules do not allow parties).

    During Spring, Summer and Fall, our landscapers mow the lawn or pick up leaves every other Wednesday. They are only there for apx 30-45 minutes.

FAQs

    • No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.

    • No parties, events, or large gatherings are allowed.

    • Pets are not permitted.

    • Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM; please be respectful of our neighbors at all times.

    • During the day, keep noise to a minimum—many neighbors are full-time residents.

    • Do not access walking trails by cutting across neighboring properties; the public trail entrance is just a 2-minute walk away.

    • This is bear country—do not leave food or trash on the screened porch, outdoor deck, or in vehicles.

    • A maximum of four daytime visitors is allowed; additional overnight guests must be approved in advance during booking.

    • Guests are fully responsible for supervising their children at all times.

    Violations of house rules may result in eviction, cancellation without refund, and/or additional charges.

    • 30+ Days Before Check-In: Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the check-in date are eligible for a full refund, minus a 3% credit card processing fee.

    • 14–29 Days Before Check-In: Cancellations made between 14 and 29 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund, minus the 3% credit card processing fee.

    • Less Than 14 Days Before Check-In: Cancellations made within 14 days of the check-in date are non-refundable.

    All cancellations must be submitted in writing to feetupgetaways@gmail.com. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed promptly in accordance with these terms. 

    We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance in case of weather events, accidents, illness or other unforeseen circumstances that may prohibit Guest from traveling or fulfilling rental terms.

  • Guests may book directly on the website. After booking, you will receive and email to complete ID verification and sign a guest rental agreement through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Verification must be completed within 48 hours to confirm the reservation.

  • We love your furry friends but do not allow them on the property.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards, with secure processing handled by Stripe for your peace of mind.

    Guests have two payment options:

    • Pay in full at the time of booking, or

    • Pay 50% upfront, with the remaining balance due 30 days before check-in.

  • Check-in is contactless for your safety, convenience and privacy and access is via a keyless entry touchpad with your own personal code.

  • The driveway is large and provides plenty of parking space right in front of the house.

  • Guests enjoy free access to two community pools, one which is just minutes from the house and another at the top of the mountain. Pools are open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Guest access hours are 2-6pm and must show a photo ID for entrance. Wintergreen limits access to 6 people per residence at one time.

  • Guests can access many of Wintergreen Resort’s amenities for a fee, including skiing, tubing, Wintergreen Spa, Stoney Creek public golf course, and Lake Monocan.
